WOW Communtiy Events
Listed below are events that the communtiy is holding outside our fundraising events. Thank you to everyone we can't do this alone May 2010 Mary Gregory's Concert Soprano Mary Gregory & Friends will be hold a benefit concert for Birthday Buddies at Redeemer Lutheran Church Sunday May 2, 2010. What is this about? On January 10, 2010, Mary Gregory, along with 23 other Redeemer volunteers, were given the opportunity to make a difference in God's Kingdom. Mary is choosing to use music as a way to benefit children. The goal is that those attending the concert will bring a gift or donation that they will pass on to Birthday Buddies. Bring a gift ($10 or more), cake mix, frosting, candles, plates, napkins or other birthday part supples. Checks should be made out to Redeemer Church with "Birthday Buddies" in the memo section. Please join the fun, celebrate birthdays with a party atmosphere, and and games...and also know that you are helping others. March 2010 Spencers 10th Birthday Party, March 5, 2010 4:30 p.m. Simulator Sports in Hopkins Spencer's parents only offer to provide two large birthday parties for their children (one at 5 and the other at 10 years old). However, for the 10 year old party, a charity had to be considered and donations specific to the needs of the charily would be gathered. Spencer's parents want to instill their children with charitable hearts while giving them the most lasting gift - the memories they will create with their friends and family. Therefore, Spencer is asking his friends to help support other children through the Birthday Buddies organization. He has suggested they bring presents from the list of toy suggestions on our website. We can not thank Spencer and his family enough, they not only are making a wonderful contribution to our organization, but have brought the spirit of the organization into a new light. One of our major goals is the celebration of family and friends that comes with the birthday. Spencer would like to open up the celebration of his charity birthday to the community and has prepared a drop box at Simulator Sports, 8572 Excelsior Blvd. Hopkins (www.simulatorsports.com) for other to stop by and drop off a birthday items. Spencer and Family you ROCK!
